This appears to be an across the board change from $150 to $200 on January 1, 2012.
The Crime Scene Cert board had mentioned this on their forums on July 22nd, and that it was something they were looking into that could be applied across the board. http://theiai.org/csforum/index.php?topic=32.0
So if you were considering getting an IAI certification, this may be the time to start planning it:

It also appears that they changed their minds regarding this increase only applying to initial certifications.
From the thread on the CSCB forums and my question regarding the raise in fees:
From the thread on the CSCB forums and my question regarding the raise in fees:
Is this proposed raise in fees specifically for Crime Scene Certifications only, or is it across the board for all IAI certifications?
The request is for the CSCB, but based on the manner in which the certification programs are maintained it could be put in across the board. Please remember that the request is for the original applications not for re cert.

I was at the Latent Print Certification Board meeting in Milwaukee and it was confirmed that the raise to $200 will not only be for initial latent print certification, but also for recerts as well.

Shouldn't the cost of not sending out the membership directories in paper form (no more postage/printing etc) offset the need to increase certification and re-certification processing fees?
