Friction ridge skin (or lack thereof) research

A colleague forwarded me this clip on the genetic research on why some people don't have fingerprints. It's interesting to hear that according to their studies, there are less than 20 people WORLDWIDE that have this genetic mutation.

Are you sure that URL is right? When I tried to open it, I was blocked by our network filters. I got a message saying it was classed as "pornography."

I have seen one example of this genetic issue. I asked the person if their feet were the same and they indicated that was indeed the case.
This person was "printed" in Spokane, WA, yet I did (not) remember their name, thus could not later locate the exemplars in the files.
