Searching for article re: latent prints adhesive surfaces
I'm hoping somebody can help me out. I'm looking for an article that I remember reading within the past 3-4 years that I thought was a very well done comparison study on different methods used to separate layers of tape and the survivability of the latent prints once separated. IIRC, the study suggested that manual separation worked best and that latent prints on the adhesive side of tape subsequently stuck to the adhesive side of a different piece of tape weren't able to be developed for the most part. I've searched through JFIs from 2009 forward and I didn't see the article in any of the editions that I checked. Anybody else remember an article like this from another publication? Thanks in advance!

Methods for Separating Duct Tape
Journal of Forensic Identification Volume:62 Issue:3 Dated:May - June 2012
An experiment was designed to evaluate two things: (1) the different methods of separating duct tape from itself and (2) what effect, if any, the separating method had on the capability to recover latent prints from the adhesive side of the tape. The results showed that although several products assisted in the separation of the tape, the best overall results for obtaining latent prints were achieved with manual separation. Thanks Boyd, I don't know how I missed it because I scanned the table of contents for every JFI, well at least I thought every JFI, going back several years!
