I am sorry if I have offended my French friends but sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself, I often do.

sorry but do not forget Ray that Atoll was radio active as I remember it, not where I would want spend much more than a day at, it would be enough to send you around the twist, thinking is this really OK, can I trust my French bosses on this one or is it radio active and they are lying to me.

Those poor atolls were radioactive 10 miles down and those poor fish had to bear the brunt of those under water tests lord knows what it did to the undersea geological structures. Reminds me of those atmospheric tests that the US conducted on the Bakini islands where the Australian and New Zealand military were used as guinea pigs where they wore nothing more than goggles and white balaclavas. They were asked to report how they felt after watching the events form a close range...poor guys...a few of them are still alive today wanting compensation for various ailments as a consequence of radioactive poisoning.

I must clarify things, when I say the French and US I mean the governments not the people because at the time they were oblivious to what was going on.
