Photoshop for latents - do you validate? ANAB Requirements

My understanding from coworkers that had this discussion with Anja Einseln (www.seaglasstraining.org) is that commercially available software (like Photoshop) has already been internally validated by Adobe before shipping to market and that it is not appropriate or necessary for your lab to validate it after purchase.
