wkpetroka, I have been reading about your experiences with great interest. I myself applied for the position of LPE for Iraq a long time ago, but was unsuccessful due to the fact that I was a British citizen. Why is the company reluctant to take British LPE'S?

US citizenship is a contractual government requirement

Actually, all companies that hire contractors to work in positions such as Wade's are required by the government to sign a contract stating that they will only hire U.S. citizens. The reason is because of the classification of the computer networks on which business is conducted. There are very strict regulations on access to information, and citizenship plays a part in network access... and therefore the ability to conduct work. The companies such as Harding Security Associates look only at the qualifications of the personnel, and the government decides what are those qualifications. In these instances, it involves citizenship.
