The following is from an article “Killer who slipped through the net” by Sarah White of the BBC News.
The news article states that a fingerprint (probably a latent print) that was originally been dismissed as Samantha's (probably means identified as Smantha's) was later linked to Napper.
If someone in the UK that might have information on the fingerprint dismissal; was it originally an errorenous identification and upon checking it determined that it was not Samantha's.
How long was the latent print associated with Samantha before it was determined to be incorrect?
I am trying to detemine if this was a true error or is it misreported in the news media?
Note: Samantha was murdered in November 1993 in her Plumstead home in South London UK.It was only in 1995 that Napper, who lived in Plumstead, was arrested, after a fingerprint that had originally been dismissed as Samantha's was linked to him and also to the Green Chain rapes.
