In regard to certification---It does pack some weight----I don't care how bad you scream and cry that it is not perfect----it packs some weight-----I don't care how bad you claim it is not like REAL case work and is made up of just good ole boys----It packs some weight---I don't care how unjust you might think it is and you will never go along with it-------I don't care----because it packs some weight and it is the best we have at this time. Can it be improved----anything can be improved.

I wonder who was the national scientific think tank??? Hmmmmm.……In the run-up to Davidson's upcoming trial, Eldridge on Tuesday put to the test the science behind fingerprint analysis and ballistics testing in hopes of convincing Baumgartner to toss out forensic evidence.
……..The judge also signaled an unwillingness to toss out a slew of fingerprints tying Davidson to the double homicide.
"In this particular case, no one has come in to challenge the accuracy of any (fingerprint) identification that has been made," Baumgartner said.
…….Eldridge put under the microscope Tuesday the science behind the methods employed by Knoxville Police Department fingerprint examiners Tim &*%$ and Dan %$#@& and ballistics expert Patricia &^%$#. He argued that both types of testing had been called into question as unreliable in recent reports by a national scientific think tank.
……..Baumgartner agreed that fingerprint analysis is "part science and part art" but noted Tim and Dan are nationally certified.
"You have to have reliable, credible people to get reliable results," the judge said.
