New Forensic Tool being developed - Bacterial DNA

Not sure if this has made the national news, but it is getting a lot of attention in the local media. The University of Colorado Department of Soil Ecology and Evolutionary Biology is researching the use of bacterial DNA as a potential new forensic tool. The researchers are associates of my daughter who is working on a PhD in that department at CU in Boulder, CO. I was a consultant on the project in 2008. Its been very exciting to see the progress on the research.
