PathFinder Dust Lift storage

My agency uses the PathFinder Dust Lifter to recover dust footwear impressions at the crime scene as well as in the forensic laboratory. I would like to know how other agencies handle storage of the fragile dust lifts. I would also like to know if there are agencies that discard the PathFinder mylar with a discernible recovered impression after it has been properly photographed, or is it booked as evidence and stored.

Comments and ideas greatly appreciated. If your lab is ASCLD-LAB accredited, please let me know as my agency operates under accreditation. Thanks!
