My first screencast.

I've read the chatboards enough to know that there's a lot of functional knowledge that exists in the community. Why not turn it into a great resource.

Great job, Boyd. I have a few good ideas that I'll script up and give a go. We could do quite a bit with using specific enhancements, like levels versus curves. The biggest problem is finding (or making) a really good example of a latent that could be best (or more efficiently) enhanced with one and not the other.

Thanks Kasey. If you want to start a CLPEX channel on YouTube, perhaps we could submit our videos to you for upload so that all the videos are in one location, making them more easily accessible.

A script is a good idea, although 'off the cuff' recording is good testimony practice, as you have to try and avoid rambling. My video definitely wasn't my first take, and could still use some improvement. It'll come with time.

To anyone interested, I used CamStudio http://camstudio.org/ which is a freeware PC based screencasting program. For audio, I used a Rode NT3 Mic which is a studio grade condenser mic, running into an INSPIRE 1394 firewire A/D converter, but that's just because I'm a home studio nerd on the side. You could get away with a $20 mic from Radio Shack and be fine.
