It's always enlightening for John Q. Public to get a dose of reality every once in a while. What does Mr. John Q. expect when a manger is told to cut his/her budget by over $128 million dollars? No matter the means by which a budge is cut, it is always robbing Peter to pay Paul. Unless of course, there are lay-offs. Lay-offs certainly don't help the work to get done.
Maybe it's time for John Q. Public to stand up and say where they want money in their town to be spent! On "nice to have" things like maintenance and upkeep of local parks, or on all aspects of law enforcement? Bottom line Mr. John Q. Public, you can't have your cake and eat it too!
