Participants Needed for a Scientific Review of Friction Ridge Examination Protocols and Procedures
Forensic examiners analyse fingerprints according to their laboratories Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). We do not know whether and what implications the use of different SOPs has on the conclusions reached. This study will examine the impact of using different SOPs, by giving different examiners the same fingerprints and observing the conclusions reached when different SOPs are used.
To conduct this study, we need latent print examiners to take part in our study. We would like to give you fingerprints to analyse using your current protocol, so we can study the effects of SOPs.
Your help is very much appreciated, and your participation will be confidential; that is, we will remove any identification details relating to you prior to analysing your data.
If you would like to take part, or to get more details, please write to me, at: Itiel@cci-hq.com or at: i.dror@ucl.ac.uk
Thank you very much for considering taking part in the study.
