Tonight (Wed Jan 25, 2011), the show NOVA (on PBS) in the U.S. will air a piece called "Mystery of a Masterpiece". It is a forensic investigative piece on reputed DaVinci painting that was claimed to be authenticated by a fingerprint by Paul Biro. As many of you know, Biro is the subject of several threads on this site especially in relation to Pat Wertheim's report debunking the Jackson Pollack case involving alleged fabrication of a fingerprint.

The painting was examined by the University of Lausanne and while I have not seen the piece, I suspect Christophe Champod will make some appearances since his team was involved in the examination. Furthermore, some experts in the U.S. (although anonymously) were involved as well in some tests Christophe ran. I don't know how much or what will make it in the show, but my point is, some of you may have contributed behind the scenes in this investigation.

It airs at 9 Eastern, 8 Central, and I have never been able to figure when the f%$@ ANYTHING airs on the west coast...1:45PM maybe?? =)...so check your local listings.
