Well I guess Eliott Springer was a visionary in 2011 when he presented that DNA might replace fingerprints at crime scenes

Its an interesting story in any case

"Since the fingerprint was left on a porous surface it proved worthless to investigators."

Because I can't think of any way to capture that poor porous-surface fingerprint, like photography, or any number of porous development and enhancement techniques available to bring out any more detail.......
