Fingerprint Official Admits Expert Dispute

I have a comment about the 4th link in this weeks "Breaking NEWz" titled "Fingerprint Official Admits Expert Dispute". Maybe some of the UK people can confirm or deny what I have to say.
In the newspaper version of this story (vs the internet version) there was an addition section titled "Readers' Views". In this section Ian Todd (who the article is quoting) disagrees with the information in this article.
It appears to me that the author of this article may have taken statements out of context to make things sound more controversial than it really is. (Not that this situation isn't filled with controversy. I just don't think it needs to be further agitated by distorted information.)
