LPE Trainee Opportunity
Posted: Mon Oct 20, 2014 11:51 am
Latent Print Examiner Trainees and Experienced Latent Print Examiners
Salary: GS-09 to GS-13 ($50,077.00 to $112,261.00)
Location: Defense Forensic Science Center (formerly USACIL), Forest Park, Georgia
For full details and to apply, go to:
https://www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/376479300
Basic Requirements:
1. BS degree and minimum one year latent print related experience (see announcement for specifics);
2. MS degree with no experience (see announcement for specifics).
For full list and description of requirements, see job posting.
NOTE: This is a one year term position, with potential for a maximum of three renewals. This would allow an applicant with no experience, but having a qualifying master's degree, to enter the field and gain training to certification prior to discharge. There may be additional positions for which a term employee might apply to extend service, including the potential of permanent positions.
Additional Note: A separate announcement is also currently posted for permanent LPE positions. It is perfectly acceptable to apply separately for both announcements. Applying for one does NOT imply application for both. Those interested in a trainee position are encouraged to apply for the term position linked here. Experienced LPEs may want to apply for both to increase their chances.
For general questions, you may contact Pat A. Wertheim at foridents@aol.com or check contact information at bottom of announcement.
