This is my presentation to the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences Fingerprint Division Conference. In it, I explain some of the problems with the current application of ACE-V and suggest a method to minimise the effect of the cognitive bias present in the fingerprint reference form. The R-v-Smith mark makes an appearance as well.
