Can this cd be bought and how much does it cost? Making money from this to fund a campaign seems unethical especially when £750 000 has already been donated by taxpayers of Scotland.

This topic is sensitive enough without posting things that are blatently slanderous and mocking. I have deleted two posts (and a third post that called for deletion of the first two) because they crossed the line. I closely monitor this website, and this is only the second time I have felt posts have gone too far. Many have gone right to the line but have not, in my opinion, crossed it. I have even had private requests for deletion of posts that I have not honored because I didn't believe they warranted it. But these did.

Again, please keep posting professional in nature.

I understand how difficult it must be to delete items from a forum that you envisioned as the opportunity for unfettered exchange of ideas and information. I think what you have done here is an excellent concept, and I have been considerably enlightened on a number of topics. I am saddened by the real situation that some must post with anonymity out of concern for reprisals, especially from employers, and while content is more significant than the identity of the author, one person's need is other person' license.

Others have posted pleas for civility and professionalism to no avail. You have been remarkably tolerant of unseemly and often vicious behavior from those who snipe from the shadows. As tough as the decision was, I, for one, think you did the right thing. You have my deepest admiration and respect. Perhaps your plea will be successful.

Those 'sniping from the shadows' on various topics, not just the one referred to here, have caused me to question the value of my own participation in the threads. While I peek in to try and stay current on the science of fingerprint identification, I too often find myself reading about what I consider the 'politics of fingerprint identification'.

Terry, I am pretty sure I understand your personal doubt about participation in this forum, but I urge you to continue. I have enjoyed your thoughts and ideas as I have from so many who strive to exchange information, even if we disagree, without resorting to venom. Any time someone urges me to think about a topic from a new perspective, I am encouraged as to the value of Kasey's concept, the need to discuss without shouting and to debate without name calling. Stopping in to read what others say is fine, but sharing ideas is even better. We can no more end political agendas and personal vendettas than we can solve world hunger, but we sure can try.

I preferred Tim Otei's song, it had the makings of a classic.
