Sequence of ink and latent prints on paper

I want to know if anyone has any information on determining the order of ink and latent print deposition on paper. I have tried ninhydrin, iodine, magnetic powders, silver nitrate, all without results. The ink, paper fibers and latent residues all seem to be mixing together. I have also tried looking at the paper fibers themselves to see if there is a difference in the way they are disturbed. This doesn't seem to work either. Any Ideas?
