One of the workshops at our conference this year is an investigation into the death of King Tut. It is being hosted by Mike King and Gregory Cooper, who have written a book on the subject.

I have some reservations about this - mostly based on the fear that the workshop may be nothing more than an infomercial for their book.

Has anybody read the book or seen a presentation on this topic? Should I be worried?

For future reference, does anybody have any experience with OTHER conference or seminar presenters who are to be avoided?

Hmmmm . . . . . Where are the fingerprint exemplars filed?

I've seen their presentation and didn't come away thinking I had just been sold a book....although they did have their book available for sale if ya wanted one.
It was worth watching once!

I saw the presentation and enjoyed it. I was certain that they would hold off telling who they thought had killed King Tut in an effort to sell some books, but they went through the whole case ( much more condensed than the book of course) and actually disclosed who they felt committed the crime and why they arrived at that particular conclusion. Of course they had the book sale/signing after the presentation, but I found that the book is also available at my local library. I do plan on reading it one of these days but this latent work keeps cutting into my personal time!

We only had a couple of hours with them, but I can see how if given a larger time slot they could fill it with no problems.
(I'd give them 4 stars!)
