I have one I use for Detectives. That should be about the same level for learning and attention span, shouldn't it? 8)

The Boy Scouts of America publish a small booklet on fingerprints in their merit badge program. It is geared for grammar school kids and is a handy aide in teaching this age group. The booklet is inexpensive to obtain for each student and can be found at most scout supply stores.

I have a power point presentation I used to teach the boy scout merit badge class a year or two ago. If you're interested just drop me a PM with your e-mail.

I'm scheduled to do a short (1 hr.) talk/demo on CSI for youths (likely target age middle-school) at a writers convention in Montreal in early August.

First, does anyone have any materials or website suggestions for any French-speakers in the audience. The program is in the English track, but I'd like to have suggestions ready.

Second, can anyone give me a quick summary on differences between US and Canada on crime scene stuff so I can give a quick top 10 differences between Canada and what you might see on CSI?

If a Canadian youth wanted to be a crime scene tech when he/she grew up, any suggestions where to point them for more info?

I'm contemplating the prints on white ballons idea that someone mentioned last spring. Any other ideas for kid-friendly demos on other forensic topics? I don't have much time, so I may just stick with prints.
