New latents on fired cartridge study?

I had some interesting responses (which also peaked my curiosity) to a post I listed a while back in search of journal articles on this subject. I am interested in getting some feedback from other folks in the latent field as to what studies or information is currently lacking in regard to latent print processing/results on fired cartridge casings.

What would people like to see done that hasn't already been?

I have an intern that will be working with me this summer and would love to find a 'useful' project for him to help me with.
I have a general idea of what I would like to do, but I think it would be more beneficial if I was able to create a study that would help the field as a whole. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would take the material and studies from the other articles and see if you can reproduce their work.

By repeating their studies and if the conclusions are the same then you are reinforcing those studies.

From my POV it is going to be kind of hard to give you a different direction than what has already been done.

Also I would like to see those articles published at the Nerium Israel meeting become available. I do not have those in my library.

Charles,

I have them. They are being added to this year's Grail. If you need them right away, I can email to you when I get back...otherwise will have updated Grails at the IAI.

cheers,
