If I did that, how would I communicate with the other drivers on the road?

Cindy, It would just be the end joint so there would still be some left, plus you could always resort to the 'read between the lines' signage. But I feel for you, I do not enjoy traveling through Toronto to get too and from Michigan from Vermont. Even going through Montreal requires 'waving' at many of the other drivers. I wonder why Canada never built bypass roads to get around major cities????
