Latent Print Advanced Testimony - given by the FBI

Hi everyone,

I want to let you know about a course I was able to attend, thanks to the NY State Police, called "Latent Print Advanced Testimony 3-day Workshop" given by Melissa Gische and Robin Ruth of the FBI. It was one of the best courses I have taken since I became a latent print examiner. They discussed the legal background for expert testimony, Daubert (Steps leading to a Daubert hearing, broke down a defense motion and then discussed issues raised in a Daubert defense motion) NAS Report, Madrid and the FBI changes that occured because of that case, 6th amendment...Everything was taught in context and through court cases including MN v. Hull.

They have found a perfect balance and sequence for their information - it all just flows together and they are never boring - I am not sure I have ever learned so much in such a short time span. They had a tough audience and handled it very well. If you get a chance to attend this course I highly recommend it.
