Post by karen M »

Hello everyone,
does anyone know of any research done on the deterioration of latent marks on plastic/polythene bags? Or does anyone have copies of such research papers?

thanks

This article may have some information on the subject: “The Development of Fingerprint Impressions on Plastic Bags Over Time and Under Different Storage Temperatures”, Ernest Wayne Moody, Journal of Forensic Identification, 44:3 (1994)

Sorry, but not any more. I donated my IAI collection awhile ago. Perhaps someone following this thread can come up with a copy.

Good luck with it. If you are not getting any responses, let me know and I can provide you with the organization that received my back issues and perhaps they can give you some assistance.
