Per Page 21 Section B of the report:
The FBI laboratory employs the "Ridgeology Standard" for identification, which does not require the agreement of a predetermined minimum number of characteristics, but rather emphasizes the expert examiner's assessment of the quality of agreement as well as the quantity"
A few questions:
1) Is this a standard that is adopted by most agencies?
2) What methodology are you using in assessing the quality of agreement.
I'm not an LPE mind you, but a Ten Print Tech, so keep that in mind in your answer. What I'm looking for is somewhat of a 'thinking out loud' process. For instance, I know ridge flow is going to dictate some attributes of ridges especially in cores, deltas and upthrusts, but how are you making the determination between a ridge ending and a bifurcation when there's distortion of any kind?
