I’ve noticed that there have been quite a few articles in the news this month about other cases that David Kofoed was involved with. It looks like attorneys are trying to appeal their cases based on the information in the Stock’s case and claiming that evidence planting may have happened in their case as well.
One of the cases (the Ivan Henk case) appears to have information that should be considered, the evidence that Kofoed found in this case wasn’t found on the evidence by an external DNA lab.
I have a question for agencies that use filter papers to collect DNA. In the Stock’s case, Kofoed said that contamination could happen ‘easily’ when using stacks of filter papers. If contamination could happen ‘easily’, are stacks of filter papers still used or do agencies now use individually wrapped papers?
I also have a question specific to the Kofoed case. How do those that support the contamination theory resolve the fact that the filter papers that Kofoed used were never at the original scene? Doesn’t this make the contamination theory fairly unlikely?
I’m posting some additional resources that were given to me about the Kofoed case below.

Note: Episodes #1 & #2 were filmed and shown before Kofoed came under investigation for evidence tampering. Episode #1 follows Kofoed through one of the murder trials which later becomes part of the investigation into questionable planted blood evidence. Episode #2 was filmed while he was being investigated, and he makes appearances in this show, but the show is focused more on another one of NWU professors. Because of the production of Episodes #1 and #2, NETV continued to follow and film throughout the investigation & Trials. In Episode #3 he admits to “puffing up his credentials in court”
