I have heard recently of a Pilot scheme which is apparently currently being undertaken in England and Wales whereby only two Experts are checking identifications, instead of the usual three checks. I wonder if any readers can help me out with the following.
(1) Is it the case there is a Pilot where two checks are being trialled at present?
(2) Which Bureaux are involved in any such Pilot?
(3) When did the Pilot start?
(4) When does the Pilot finish?
(5) Have there been any mistakes made during the duration of the Pilot?
(6) Have any specific guidelines been implemented should there be any mistakes made during the Pilot?
(7) Will the full details, and the findings of the Pilot scheme be made public?
(8) Are there any concerns amongst Experts regarding any such changes?
Thanks in advance for any information.

I do not think this would be something they would want to advertise.

Hi Big Wullie
You are right and with 25% plus cuts I doubt things will improve. This is a new reality for the UK I guess. Experts and other civies will be pulling there heads in and saying nothing. From what I have heard it is very bad over there.
It is easier to snipe from the outside but when you have your job on the line, that is something else.
I really feel for those guys, I am sure they would rather be free to say it as it is.
Anyway in some cultures you could have a whole office saying it is a good ID only because the guru says it is, but that does not make it an ident as you will well know. In my old office I encouraged the staff to say what they thought about an Ident. I hope it worked, I thought it did.
