Good Morning Everyone,
Does your lab use "Air Science UV-Box" for decontaminating fingerprint brushes? If so, how well does it destroy the DNA? And, do you do a
performance check on it, if so, how often do you do it? We are looking at options of whether to purchase this item or using disposable brushes for all print cases. Looking to see what other agencies do. Thanks.

Our laboratory recently purchased several UV Crosslinkers from UVP (www.uvp.com). I'm not sure if their operation is the same as the product you mentioned, but this device uses high energy UV light for approximately 2 minutes to sterilize our instruments (markers, pens, scissors, knives, etc). As we do a lot of DNA collection, these devices seem to serve our purposes.
