Fingerprint Society

Post by charlton97 »

Dear all,

as good friends I thought that you should all hear this from me rather
than from a third party source.

Yesterday, I resigned as Chair of the Fingerprint Society and from the
committee.

I write this note as I don't want to encourage
a wider debate on my reasons which will I am sure be subject to
conjecture and speculation once the news becomes public knowledge in Fingerprint Whorld. It was for a mixture of reasons to which I will not allude in this forum. Just thought you should know.

cheers

Dave

Hi Dave,

I'm sure you will easily fill the void the Society created in your life. It is not an easy role to lead a large group and the expectations are often not fully realised by outsiders. I congratulate you for the many years of service to both FS and to fingerprint science. I understand you're still practicing and more importantly continuing research so the loss for the Society is the gain for the science. Its also not easy to post a resignation notice on such a popular forum as CLPEX so I tip my hat at the step you've taken. Regards from Australia and all the best for the future. Les
