The Latent Print Supervisor Position with the Austin Police Department is still open.

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
The Austin, Texas Police Department currently has a vacancy for a Latent Print Section Supervisor. Under minimal direction this position is responsible for the daily operations of the Latent Print Section which encompasses the work of six Latent Print Examiners and two APFIS Technicians.

Minimum Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major coursework in Criminal Justice or in a field related to the job, plus five (5) years work experience in latent print.
• Must be qualified and having testified as an expert witness regarding Latent Print analysis in District, State, or Federal court.
• Successful completion of at least one year of ASCLD/LAB approved proficiency testing.
• Must possess IAI Latent Print Certification.
• Possess or be able to obtain a valid Class “C” Texas Drivers License

Salary Range
Beginning salary range is between $44,700 and $58,177 depending on experience.
