Post by mindira9 »

Hi,

I want to know the capabilities of ULW. I have read in one of the posts that ULW supports some Photoshop like filters. Could anybody please let me know more about these features. Also ULW has some image processing tools that improve the quality of image. What are these tools and how good is the quality of image so obtained. More information regarding the capabilities of ULW would be really helpful.

I would suggest obtaining a copy of the newest version of ULW and trying it out for youself. You can request a copy at ulw@leo.gov or do a search of ULW on the internet. I think they're on version 6.0. Again, working with it yourself will give you a better idea of how the filters/tools work when compared to Photoshop. There is a binarize/trace filter that is really neat. Worst case, send me a SASE (CD-sized) and I'll mail you a copy of the CD. It's freeware so there's no copyright issues there. Let me know if that's the route you want to take and I'll IM you my address.

*Update* Here is the website for the request for CD: https://www.fbibiospecs.org/Latent/Down ... tware.aspx
