Someone contacted me, suggesting that I should have posted more information about hosting a workshop. So, here goes.

The host gets free tuition for one to two people (depending on the total number of paid registrants) in exchange for hosting the workshop.

The host supplies a facility that can hold 25 people, has power for 25 laptops (power strips can work), has an LCD projector (preferable, but optional) and screen, and a whiteboard or something similar. In addition, the host helps to market the workshop, provides a list of local hotels and local restaurants, and provides refreshments (coffee and hot water) each morning. Hosts can certainly do more, but this is the minimum.

Hosting a workshop is an excellent way to get free training and to show off your facility to others. If your agency has a training room - help them get their money's worth by hosting a class!
