I'm assuming they've either run out of the arranged block of rooms at the conference rate or that the date to get the conference rate has expired.

FWIW, there are several hotels South of downtown Providence near the airport that might work for some people as long as they're willing to commute in and out using either the bus or commuter rail. Last I checked, and it's been a few weeks, these hotels were going for <$100 a night if you qualified for government rate and they were within easy walking distance to either the TF Green train station or the Jefferson Ave./Blvd. express bus I think it was.

It looks like the Marriott Courtyard has been added, however I did a search for 8/3 - 8/10 (Sat-Sat), and it said no rooms available.

The Hampton has been added and the Omni is back up.

The benefit to the Omni is that you can have free wireless in your room by signing up for their (free) hotel club.
