I've got to tell you, Oakland PD was a great place to work a century ago. But now it seems to be having trouble attracting applicants. Is there a reason?

Good question. Oakland has been very lucky with employees, There isn't a big turn over and when we do have openings (which in the past wasn't often) there are good qualified candidates. But recently we were approved to hire for several positions, so we need a large pool of applicants to choose from. Oakland is moving on up and going to be better than ever before. Get in now while you can!
