I am very pleased to let everyone know and to congratulate Dave Charlton for being awarded the British Psychological Society's Division of Forensic Psychology Junior Award 2006. Dave Charlton's prize was award "in relation to his outstanding research".

Congratulations, Dave! As painful as it is to have the professional critics of fingerprint identification exaggerate the effects of contextual bias, your research has taken us through the initial steps of recognizing and eventually quantifying the effects of this phenomenon. All true scientists and right thinkers in our business owe you a debt of gratitude. Keep up the good work!

Congratulations, Dave!

Your research has added a great deal of knowledge to our field (and has been the cause of more than one sleepless night for some of us!).
