OMG!!!! Who makes that kind of money?? I would LOVE to make that kind of money. Especially considering the criminals are only out there certain months of the year and not full-time, constant criminality like they are here. It gets too cold to be a thief all-year-round in Colorado. I used to live in Colorado, and then in Wisconsin and I have to say: I prefer being in a place where they look at a snow shovel with a puzzled expression.

LATENT FINGERPRINT EXAMINER / CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATOR

This is a non-sworn, civilian position. The CSI conducts all phases of crime scene investigations which include collecting, analyzing, identifying and preserving evidence for law enforcement personnel.


The CSI will have additional duties as a Certified Latent Fingerprint Examiner.

SALARY
The Arlington Police Department Crime Lab & Crime Scene Unit uses a skill based pay plan. The applicant will be hired one pay point less ($4,823 per month) than a CLPE. After the successful completion of a training program, probationary period, and competency testing, the applicant will automatically move up to the Certified Latent Fingerprint Examiner pay level ($4,943 per month).

Additionally, there is 6% shift differential for those employees who work the evening shift or midnight shift.
