Fingerprint authenticates Jackson Pollock masterpiece?

Post by Red.Sox.Fan »

Did anyone see the 60 minutes or Anderson Cooper 360 piece on the woman who bought a thrift store art piece - only to find out that it could be a genuine Pollock? A forensic art expert located a fingerprint on the back of the canvas, which he matched to a print he found on a paint can in the Pollock museum, which again matched a print discovered on a Pollock canvas at the Tate museum.
Did anyone see the print, with 6 ridges and 6 Galton characteristics?

That looks like a big bag of dryer lint to me. I wouldn't give you a nickel for anything by Pollock.

One person's trash is another person's treasure. Some people hoard dryer lint, based on my observations of their homes at some crime scenes.

I thought there was an interesting reference to "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell, which has a similar sort of scenario in the opening pages.
