Surgically Altered Fingerprints

Might anyone have any images of these fingerprints? A set of inked prints? Any other information?

Leave it to friends on the internet to make true the old admonition, "Ask and ye shall receive." I have received photos of the fingers taken at the time of the patient's first arrest, in which the wounds have not quite healed. Ouch! That looks painful. No wonder the idiot was limping.

But the real interest of any latent print examiner is more the prints than the skin. Do we know of a set of his inked fingerprints taken after scarring was complete around the borders of the transplanted areas of friction skin?

Would it be possible to post those images here? I have seen a few examples of this type of "surgery" but I'm always curious to see more. We also have some new analysts who have yet to see this type of thing.

Gosh, he sure fooled us, didn't he? And the doctor who did that -- what a guy! What a shame, though, all that pain for nothing. Like Roscoe Pitts and Dillinger. A lot of pain, no gain. I still want to see the inked prints after the grafts have healed. Maybe some before and after 10-print cards. Should be interesting.
