More on the Brandon Mayfield case

It seems Mr. Mayfield wasn't through with the FBI when he collected damages in his civil case against them. He went after the law that allowed the government extra-constitutional authority to investigate him the way they did. Read all about it at:

Good for him!!!! The Patriot Act is the most horrifying misuse of government power since...well, since that Nazi was snuck in the back door of the White House by the Supreme Court in 2000. Which brings me to this...the Supreme Court is now 5-4 Nazi and highly unlikely to vote against anything Bush wants. So when the White House challenges these U.S. Court rulings and appeals them to the Supreme Court...who do you think they will back?

Right you are, Sharon. Why is it that new laws almost always have a title that is the direct opposite of the effect the law will have? What in the devil was "patriotic" about the so-called "Patriot Act?" If anything, that bill is the "Anti-Patriot Act." Land of the free? Not if the current administration had it's way!
