Checked out the article, website, and order page for the Fuma-Dome kit.

Can someone explain to me the where and how "the releasing a vapor of, essentially, Super Glue and fluorescent dye" occurs? Is this a special super glue or an additive to the super glue?

The kit listed on his web page is only for the dome, wand, and rechargeable cyan head and another nifty carrying case.

I can see nothing on his order page regarding the fluorescent dye but read about it and saw the news clip where Weaver mentions it and it is demonstrated.

Did I miss something somewhere?

rudy--I think this is one of those "poetic license" things that journalists are always pulling. The wand releases superglue fumes. You need a second event, dye-staining, to make the prints fluorescent. I doubt whether the dye stain is released at the same time as the superglue fumes, but I'm not a expert.

uh, I know where the super glue comes from. The news article I read states the cyanoacrylate is treated with a fluorescent dye stain.

Now, that would be a neat trick and I am surprised I haven't read of it somewhere.

Sharon is right---what happens when you finally got to take it off of the surface.

A bit concentrated bit of fumes I would say. Unless they have a vacuum hose hooked up to it.

Also I have seen the applicators that contain CAE and a dye that are supposed to be applied at the same time. The ones I have seen with the wand in the past did not work very well. There could be improvements since then.
