Museum of Sciene and Industry

Recently visited Chicago and took in the Museum of Science and Industry. Pretty cool place. Lots of hands on displays plus trains, planes and automobiles. They even have a forensic science display. My guess is the program CSI has influenced creating this display. However the public seemed to really enjoy it and especially a demonstration of developing latent prints on rubber gloves utilizing magna powder.

I did have one problem though...They have hung large posters showing the three basic pattern types. The arch pattern was hung with the fingertip pointing up. The loop and whorl patterns were hung with the fingertip pointing sideways. While having the fingertip sidways doesn't change the pattern, it sure drove me nuts. Made me wonder about all the other displays that you just take for granted are accurate.

All in all, it was a great place to visit and I reccommend it.
