Pasadena Police Department - forensic specialist

Salary: $23.72 - $28.58 hourly

Secures and processes crime scene and evidence including collection of trace evidence and fingerprints.
Records and details crime scene including diagrams, sketches, photographs and videotapes.
Assesses and processes latent fingerprints to determine usefulness as evidence.
Processes fingerprints and other evidence in databases using technical systems and equipment including CAL-ID.
Prepares and manages evidence files, case files, records and reports.
Provides expert testimony in court related to identification and processing of evidence.
Transports self and equipment to crime scene.
Maintains job related equipment and materials. May be required to function in various and difficult field environments and/or enclosed spaces which may include biological, chemical and weapons materials.
