Mexico Point Standard?

Post by Kasey Wertheim »

Someone e-mailed me the following "urgent" question:

How many points of identification does Mexico require (static threshold) to
effect an identification?

Which got me thinking, is there a reference with a list of current point threshold worldwide standards someone could point us all to?

Either answer (or both) on this thread would be great...

I seem to remember the Evett/Williams Report having a list of national point standards in it. Though I may have seen it somewhere else and misattributed it.

Not that current, but Fingerprint Whorld, 12:47 (1987), published a listing of the 'point standards for an identification' of 22 countries, ranging from "No fixed number" (US and Canada) to 17 (France). Mexico was 12.

Please see attached file. I have had this list since 2006, so it may require updating.
