Has anyone had success with running latents through the Mexican National AFIS DB? If so, can you please share the process or your contact?

Carl, to my knowledge Mexico does not have a national database like we do. I had a case about 3 years ago...Lss I ended up talking a lot with Interpol and among the other things we requested from Mexican authorities was a check of certain latents through their database. At that time they said there is no such thing and no way to communicate with the agencies who had their own. I have never checked back with them so if you find out differently, please let me know since the case involves a double homicide that is still unsolved. In any case, Interpol is where you get to start.

I believe your best bet around these parts would be the IDENT database, which houses undocumented criminal entries into the US though the Department of Homeland Security. They're the only ones with IDENT/IAFIS interoperability. The contracted folks from BAE Systems can help with this search. They're really helpful down here in the San Diego parts.
