Does anyone know where I can get a hold of a company that sells VMD systems? I know about West Technology but I am looking for a Steve Todd in CA that sold systems just for FP development. The numbers I have do not work so if you have any information on any and all companies I would be very greatful. My agency has said yes to the item and has the money for it. I am on the west coast so the CA company was good but any will do. Anyone with experience using the systems currently?

Granted, it's been a few years, but Steve used to operate out of the Costa Mesa Police Department in Orange County, CA. I don't know if he was a contract employee or just rented an office. You might contact an ID Tech at CMPD and see if they know what became of him.

You can try contacting the San Diego County Crime Lab, they have one. Either a Forensic Evidence Technician (who process evidence for prints) or a Latent Print Examiner (who do the comparisons) should be able to tell you where they got theirs.
