Florida Judge "over ruled" on Fingerprint decision

My non legal interpretation:

The appeals court didn't overturn his ruling, rather they ruled that he should have recused himself from the case and therefore his ruling was null and void.

It will be interesting to see if the defense makes the same appeal to a different judge
