What's the catch with the 37.5 hour weeks? I can't imagine that a city government out of the kindness of its "heart" is reducing full time equivalency to 37.5 hours/week from 40 hours/week. Is that 2.5 hours a week furloughed time, not paid, or is it lost in retirement calculation such that a full year on the job isn't quite a full year because you worked 2.5 hours less each week? When something looks too good to be true...

THE Harry Caldwell is always welcome back at OPD of course!
The 7½ hour days is because of a union negotiation years ago, even before I was here the first time in 2001. Not a trick.
