Words mean things

Post by Boyd Baumgartner »

OK, so I guess this book has been entirely scientifically discredited by the DOJ Uniform language document. That means we now need to retitle it according to the blowing winds of the day, so........Go!

Individualiza-shunned: The scarlet letters of dogmatic skepticism

Individualization and 6 other words banned on tv

Identifi...er...Individualiz...um...wait are we back to Identification?

The thing we really meant all the time when we said it the other way.

Was that discredit done to a reasonable degree of scientific certainty?

It's likely, but I probably wouldn't say I'm absolutely sure...

Bill,

I'm sure it was with a sense of irony that you titled that image "Gospel."

To carry the metaphor to the next step, however, that book was in the body of the "Old Testament" of fingerprints. The "New Testament" would begin with the NAS Report and include all the books and articles mandating statistics, uncertainty, error rate, probability, likelihood ratios, etc.

It's a new religion, Bill. Devotees of the old faith are seen as belonging to an antiquated cult.

Do you have to be a scientist to discredit something scientifically? Does the DOJ have scientists on staff? Am I considered a scientist? Is fingerprint examination a science or an art? What is the meaning of life? I need more coffee.

So if I'm tracking, Ken Moses led us to the Promised Land of ACE-V although he himself was not able to enter due to his Mayfield transgressions. While there, we were given the law from on high (SWGFAST) which was really just a shadow of the substance of our Savior, Thomas Bayes.
